I was thrilled when Emma Freedman and Charlie Rundle chose me to photograph their wedding in Sydney! Upon our first meeting at a café in Paddington, they both came across as such a warm and vibrant couple, and I knew it was going to be a fun day to capture.

After a relaxed morning with Charlie and his groomsmen I made my way to Emma’s beautiful Paddington house. Jaws dropped when she emerged in her Vera Wang gown, AND if she couldn’t look any more gorgeous, she dress had a cape too!

The couple held a traditional ceremony at St Jude’s Anglican Church in Randwick and included their cute nieces and nephews in the ceremony. We then headed to Paddington reservoir, a moody garden in the heart of the city for more drinks and photos with the bridal party. Once the sun set, we made our way to the National Art School’s Cell Block Theatre. This is a seriously stunning venue with an interesting history… it was originally the women’s wing of the old Darlinghurst Gaol! The beautiful sandstone walls came to life covered with pink and cream orchids by Poho flowers. Emma surprised her guests by changing into a custom J. Andreatta mini dress before performing a Dancing with the Stars inspired bridal dance to kick off the dance floor.

What a pleasure it was to work on this wedding, I loved every minuet of this wedding!
